Natalie Ondrey began working at Grier as an Instructor in the English Department in 2021. She has taught American Literature, ESL, Creative Writing, and voice lessons, and also coaches the varsity soccer team. Natalie was a counselor and instructor at Grier Summer 2023, where she led music, theater, and writing workshops.
Natalie graduated from the Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Secondary English Education and a B.A. in Integrative Arts. While at Penn State, she was active as a Lion Ambassador, New Student Orientation Leader, and Peer Educator through the Center for Character Conscience and Public Purpose. She also worked as the Student Staff Coordinator for Student Orientation and Transition Programs, which welcomed all 48,000 incoming freshman to Penn State’s University Park campus though 2-day summer programming.
Natalie grew up attending 4-H Camp, performing at music and theater camps, and camping with her family. She has worked as a counselor at 4-H Camp Shehaqua, Shaver’s Creek Outdoor School, Parkland School District’s Band and Strings Camp, and most recently at Grier Summer! Her experiences as a theatrical director, musician, artist, leader, and outdoor educator all contribute to her love of camp.
Natalie lives on campus and is available to respond to any situations that might arise for campers or staff both during the day and overnight.
